Shannon Simons

Shannon began her career on Wall Street over 30 years ago as an Analyst in the Media and Entertainment Group at Oppenheimer. During her tenure, she worked on 100+ capital raising and strategic advisory assignments and was hand-selected by senior management to work on the IPO of the firm’s asset management business, Oppenheimer Capital.

When CIBC acquired Oppenheimer, Shannon transitioned into a new role reporting to the head of the U.S. region. She created and managed the firm’s Analyst and Associate programs, overseeing recruiting, training, staffing, promotions and professional development. She played a key role in the firm’s expansion, hiring over 400 professionals.

In 2004, Shannon moved into executive search, where she has since focused on recruiting professionals from financial services across private equity, alternative asset management, investor relations/fundraising and corporate development.

Shannon holds a bachelor’s degree from Barnard College of Columbia University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
